When I graduated from California State Long Beach I jumped right into the mortgage industry. I learned a lot from that industry about the understanding the needs of people, interest rates, and how equity can be used as an asset. More importantly I learned that I am not a fit for that industry. I felt like I was putting a band-aid on my client's situation even if they needed surgery I could only offer a band-aid and that affected me morally.
Unfortunately in my college years my father passed away. The bad news is that he is now gone and I miss him on a daily basis. The good things that came out of it is my sister and I are closer than ever. Also, my father's Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative Jess Swick was there to help my family understand and deal with the financial aspect of losing my father.  The financial solutions that my father implemented with Jess's help, allowed my father to protect our family's future after his death.  Jess was at my father's wake and funeral and has always been a great resource for me and my family.

I moved to San Francisco to be closer to my newly engaged sister and through talking to Jess I was able the opportunity to join the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. After meeting the caliber of the people with the Network, I felt like this is the career I am supposed to be in.  I am so very excited and privileged to offer the same services to all of the individuals and families that I meet in the bay area.
